Emile is a Norwegian actor, traveling in Berlin and Potsdam
27 years old, I live and work as an actor in Stockholm. As my family is Norwegian and all my closest friends and family live there, it is quite a solitary life I lead in Sweden. My 5 brothers and sisters, and my parents take a lot of my time in the form of journeys to Norway and speaking to them on the phone. The move to Sweden and application at the Theatre Academy was quite much on an impulse. In the Stockholm apartment I am living with two other people, a café owner and a politician. What fills me, except for so far quite complicated long distance affairs, is acting and hope for more acting. I spend a lot of time with new friends in Stockholm, going out, planning, dreaming and flirting, and watching people. I like to meet many people and in some encounters, I have the great pleasure to recognize something strange or new in a person. I guess I am thus a hedonist. Besides all that, ambition and striving to understand more and reaching further in my work is what is constantly on my mind. I am working on my courage to expand myself and leave the ego behind, be constantly giving and receiving. Acting can be one of the most celebrating things for the human spirit I know of. The theatre I love is a liberating act of love, and gives dreams and freedom to the mind, as if you would open a bubble. This is my live in Stockholm. On top of it there is the constant business of looking for the next job and looking for an ensemble I want to be part of. I am in constant doubt of where and how to live, and probably have too much time to think about myself. Acting is a constant confrontation with my own pleasures, fears and limitations and going beyond it.
